Always Provide: May 15th

May 15th, 2024

Happy Hump Day! Here is a sneak peak into what we are learning in my CL Thomas Fellowship group to encourage your own provider journey. Enjoy!

1 big thing: Love Does

Love is an action word. We read Love Does by Bob Goff for this month’s fellowship reading. It’s become a classic not only in the CL Thomas Fellowship reading curriculum but I often read the children’s version to my family! The book (both the adult and children’s versions) are a collection of stories from the secretly incredible Bob Goff. He shares whimsical adventures around faith, family and love.

  • Why it matters: Finding positive inputs in our lives with a message like “Love Does” can help fuel us up. It helps move the needle from inaction to action- instead of talking about loving others to actually participating in the adventure.
  • Be inspired rather than compare. I love to be inspired. The tricky part is to not drift over into the “comparison” lane. No one wins there. No one can be like Bob Goff, and that’s ok we are called to imitate Christ in our own unique ways.
  • Provider next step: What/who inspires you to love others better? Try to prioritize that input this week. It could be re-reading a book like Love Does or some other positive resource.

2. 🎙️ Podcast with Peter on Prayer!

Lead with Prayer. If you haven’t listened to the latest Become a Provider podcast I’d encourage you to check out #124 with Peter Greer! He co-authored the book Lead with Prayer and it has been my favorite new read of 2024.

3. A Picture that Provides

The Fellowship is a family affair. I love how hosting a fellowship group involves the whole family. Amy secured this great fire pit using her expert secondhand shopping skills and my daughters helped setup chairs and prepare dinner for the men before the meeting. We are all getting practice at “Love Does” moments:) I sat next to the fire on Monday night grateful for not just the fire pit but the stories and sacrifices it took to make the fellowship fire pit moment a reality.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you through this newsletter. My goal is to grow in my servant leadership for my family, work, and life. Always feel free to respond with feedback and updates on your own provider journey.

Bless & Protect,

Justin Thomas

Aug 21st, 2024 Happy Hump Day:) A weekly update on my path to becoming a provider that I hope inspires your journey. Enjoy! 1 big thing: The Psalms are So Good Never stop praying. We can be in agony. We can feel frustrated. We can be stressed. We just need to keep praying. All of these feelings are just called "living." What makes us providers like Jesus is that we never stop praying. Why it matters: We can ultimately end at a place of peace as long as we keep praying and "remember his...

Aug 14th, 2024 Happy Hump Day:) Let's conquer any midweek hurdles together with some provision motivation. I've got some confessions and fun updates to share. Enjoy! 1 big thing: Learn From Others - Don't Worship Them Worship God, not man. My best newsletters are the ones I write to myself because they are real. I recently discovered the author and entrepreneur Alex Hormozi. He says he is not religious and enjoys throwing out F-bombs. I like him. Truthfully, I have probably placed him as an...

Aug 7th, 2024 Happy Hump Day:) We are back to help you conquer the midweek mountaints by sharing pillars of being a healthy provider. Enjoy! 1 big thing: Be Healthier for You & Others Providing for others while investing in your health is a power move. The theme of this week's podcast (see below) is about habits of healthy providers. The best way of incorporating a healthy lifestyle is when it blesses both you and others. Why it matters: When we maximize our well-being we are also maximizing...
