Always Provide: Jun 12th

June 12th, 2024

Happy Hump Day:) I've been immersing myself in the story and work of the CL Thomas Fellowship. Why do I write this newsletter? What is the purpose of the podcast? How can we grow? I've got plenty of questions, less answers. But the theme is always the same, let's always provide. Enjoy!

1 big thing: God Gives, So Let's Provide

"My cup runs over." Psalm 23 talks about the provision of God in our lives. He is in our valleys. He also provides with a seat at the table. He ensures our cup runs over so we can experience goodness and mercy all the days of our lives. These are all examples of provision promises.

  • Why it matters: We can't always provide unless God is always giving. The math just doesn't add up. We need to believe this promise to be true.
  • Fill up my cup. Every single day, I need to extend "my empty cup" and have it filled. Not with my strength, but God's help.
  • Provider next step: Pray for God to fill your life cup today. Whatever language makes sense to you. It could be asking for patience, boldness, mental strength, whatever you feel is empty and void. Let's ask him for a miracle every day to fill up our cups.

2. 🎙️ New Podcast Routine!

Going to a weekly podcast! I asked my podcast coach, "what should I do to improve the show." She suggested going weekly and having episodes where I share about the fellowship and ways I'm personally trying to provide. So we are going to test this new format out later this month. You are the first to hear:)

Leave a review. Thank you for all who have left a review on Apple Podcast, Spotify and/or YouTube! If you haven't done so already and want to help us grow our audience, here are the next steps:

3. 📖 A Verse and Book That Provides

View your bodies as living sacrifices. My fellowship group is tackling the theme of physical fitness this month. The verse from Romans 12:1 is a great reminder that we are all called to honor our bodies as an act of worship.

Confused around health? You are not alone. There are many voices in the health and wellness space and I contribute to that as well through my professional work! So perhaps I owe an apology:) But regardless of the noise, it's important to stat curious and humble about our health. We can always learn and grow.

A book to help: The Daniel Plan. We are reading the Daniel Plan by Rick Warren, it's a bad title but a solid health book. It is not promoting the "Daniel Diet" rather an intentional way of eating and fellowship like Daniel set himself apart. I like the heart of this book so if you are looking for a faith-based health and wellness book check it out below if interested.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you through this newsletter. My goal is to grow in my servant leadership for my family, work, and life. Always feel free to respond with feedback and updates on your own provider journey.

Bless & Protect,

Justin Thomas

Aug 21st, 2024 Happy Hump Day:) A weekly update on my path to becoming a provider that I hope inspires your journey. Enjoy! 1 big thing: The Psalms are So Good Never stop praying. We can be in agony. We can feel frustrated. We can be stressed. We just need to keep praying. All of these feelings are just called "living." What makes us providers like Jesus is that we never stop praying. Why it matters: We can ultimately end at a place of peace as long as we keep praying and "remember his...

Aug 14th, 2024 Happy Hump Day:) Let's conquer any midweek hurdles together with some provision motivation. I've got some confessions and fun updates to share. Enjoy! 1 big thing: Learn From Others - Don't Worship Them Worship God, not man. My best newsletters are the ones I write to myself because they are real. I recently discovered the author and entrepreneur Alex Hormozi. He says he is not religious and enjoys throwing out F-bombs. I like him. Truthfully, I have probably placed him as an...

Aug 7th, 2024 Happy Hump Day:) We are back to help you conquer the midweek mountaints by sharing pillars of being a healthy provider. Enjoy! 1 big thing: Be Healthier for You & Others Providing for others while investing in your health is a power move. The theme of this week's podcast (see below) is about habits of healthy providers. The best way of incorporating a healthy lifestyle is when it blesses both you and others. Why it matters: When we maximize our well-being we are also maximizing...
